At the core of MarkEd is the concept of ‘design-thinking’ - the task of developing media and administrative solutions that enable organisations to unlock the latent potential of their brands via creative thinking.

I worked closely with MarkEd to create a brand identity that communicates the openness and flexibility; and providing a design system that would yield a divers variety of materials that reflect these core values and offerings in different ways.

A base colour palette of primary colours and simple dots - reminiscent of Damien Hurt’s Dot paintings - was established from the outset to steer the design process towards a solution which would be structurally playful and divers.

The interlocking grid of primary colours is able to generate patterns that can be employed across a range of stationary and digital marketing materials.

The brand system utilises the early modern grotesque font, Akzidenz-Groteskat, for a distinctive typographic clarity.
